Bill:"There is sitting a doctor and tells you that he has to cut on the vocal chords.And you΄re sitting there as a singer-thats your entire capital- and i dont know-you get totally worried- and i΄m such a nerous person." The surgery went well Bill doesn΄t have to expect any late effects.Maybe thats also because of his "speaking lessons". Bill: I flt sooo silly!I was sitting there,starting with "a,b..."and then we started with: "Monday,Tuesday..." and the first thing we did was rebuilding the speaking voice and not before that we startet with singing again." And to go without that was most difficult for Bill. Bill:"he first thing i sung again was "In die Nacht" I think-the first lines of it and now we get ready for preparing ourselves again." In an exclusive interview he is telling for the first time what he was going through! Bill: "for me it was just like that: nothing worked. It was just there. And they told me if they wont remove it- it would come back over and over again. And then it would be impossible to sing anymore. So this message was quite a shock. After all ups and downs and some good and not so good news that was the moment when it was clear: you're not able to do anything for at least 4 weeks!" "Mostly scared I was actually of the surgery -of course- and the anesthesia. I thought: oh my god such an anesthesia is a heavy thing! And I saw a horror movie before the surgery! I can't really remember the name of it -and it was like that: there was a man and he was in anesthetic but he could still notice everything he just couldn't say it. So he was lying there and the doctors thought everything was alright- he had surgery on his heart- and he cut him open and he saw that all and he wanted to say something but he couldn't because he couldn't move. And- of course- stuff like that I watched before and so I got really worried and thought: okay most important is that I fall asleep and don't see anything of what happens. " Four weeks he wasn't able to do anything. He wasn't even allowed to hear his own music. Bill was spending the time in front of the TV. Bravely he kept silence and was worried about his fans. Bill: "It's awesome what I received from the fans- the way they reacted during that time! I really thought: oh my god hopefully no one is mad at me hopefully no one is upset! And it felt so good to see that everyone was worried and that everyone is there and they all are going through this with me and don't just let me stand in the rain. That was very helpful. I received some really cute stuff: someone sent me a neck collar because they didn't really know what's wrong with me. But there were also stuff for inhalation and I don't know it was awesome! In the fridge there is an entire site full with stuff from the fans and there are boxes with stuff I got several times. It's awesome I received so much! I wasn't able to see everything but most of it!" "I think I'm looking forward to see the stage, to see the guys of the crew, and especially the fans! Being able to stand there with the microphone in my hand and- being able to make a sound- and that I can make the audience happy again. That was the most horrible thing for me: that the tour got cancelled! That all these disappointed fans had to go home who were already waiting in front of the stadium and were looking forward to the concert for such a long time and I can really imagine how shitty that is. So I was sooo sorry for that! I'm really looking forward to coming back and making people happy again." Already on Thursday Tokio Hotel are going to America. We regret to inform you that we wont be able to rock with on the scheduled dates in Marseille and Montpeiller. There is almost nothing worse for an artist than being anable to perform, but unfortunately I can't sing at this point of time. We consulted various doctors but none of them were able to help me, instead they did just the opposite and strongly reccomended me not to sing at all for the naxt few days. This didn't leave us any other choice to stop the tour for two days. We are deeply sorry for this and want to apologize to allt our fans who are directly affected by this change of plans and I hope I'll get better soon.
